Skandasana (Side Lunge)
Skandasana is a great stretch for your adductors and hamstrings, and it helps to prepare your hips for poses like Goddess, Frog, and Garland. It also improves your balance and strengthens your core.
Benefits: Improves balance and core strength stretching the hamstrings and hips.
Utkata Konasana (Goddess)
Utkata Konasana helps stretch and tone your core. Start slowly in mountain pose to ease into the pose. Make sure to maintain a focus on your breathing.
Benefits: Opens the hips and chest while strengthening and toning the lower body. Goddess pose stimulates the uro-genital, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems.
Parivrtta Surya Yantrasan (Compass)
Compass pose is a deep hip, hamstring, and shoulder opener, so it’s important to make sure your body has prepared for it adequately before giving it a try. Before you begin, practice a few of your favorite warm-ups and sun salutes, as well as hip, hamstring, shoulder and side-body stretches.
Benefits: Intense hamstring stretch and shoulder opener
